Description

Opened in 2017, this 65 acre countryside park is a public open space with wild countryside and walks, available to all.  It is home to native species including wildflower grassland, scrub and woodland, and native wildlife, such as cirl buntings.

The grassland will be managed as hay meadows packed with colourful wildflowers and bustling with butterflies, with mown paths for exploring and shorter strips for throwing a ball.

Explore the Park on an hour-long route taking in the panoramic views from the Ridge Path, the Island Viewpoint and The Lookout. For a shorter stroll you can follow a more gentle route past the Bird Feeding Station to the Coffee Curve seat with sea views.  You can even make your own route around the many meadow paths – there’s room to run and room to roam.

You can join guided social dog walks with Devon Loves Dogs – a free membership scheme for dog walkers. Why not sign up to get a free goody bag and useful doggy information and advice!

Funded by the South East Devon Habitat Regulations Executive Committee, a partnership of Teignbridge, Exeter and East Devon Councils, it has been set up to help protect key conservation sites at Dawlish Warren, the Exe Estuary and East Devon’s Pebblebed Heaths. The site was purchased with money from developers of new housing across the 3 council areas.
